Join Us to Change the Culture of Work:

A Contest to Complete the Culture Change Manifesto

You are invited to help create a new vision for a new workplace in America and around the world. Technology has changed and enhanced the tools people use to communicate and work together, but the fundamental values that govern the workplace remain stagnant and out-of-date.

From its inception, HumaNext has committed itself to the mission of “Changing the Culture of Work”. HumaNext President, Francois Basili, has developed the 9 value statements below as a result of years of experience in culture change initiatives in the US, Europe, Asia and Africa.

Read his nine value statements below, then propose- in an email to us- what you think should be the tenth. HumaNext will select the best among all suggested statements to add as number10. If we end up with many more great statements, we will go beyond 10 to accommodate the best thoughts and aspirations.

  1. Business does not exist to make a profit. It makes a profit to exist.
  2. The purpose of business is to provide a vital service to society that enhances the quality of life and enriches the human experience.
  3. People deserve a more caring and creative workplace where managers are mentors and colleagues are friends.
  4. Work should not be a burden that kills the human spirit, but a calling that sets it free to soar and accomplish.
  5. People should not be expected to leave their brains and their spirits at the door as they enter the workplace. The new workplace must nourish and affirm people’s dignity, liberty, and creativity.
  6. Policies are made to serve people. People must not be made to serve policies.
  7. Micro-management is for micro-minds. People need the freedom to initiate, innovate, and accomplish.
  8. Only passionate, engaged employees can achieve extraordinary results for the organization. Employee engagement cannot be coerced or bought. It can only be ignited from within by people who are full partners in creating the organization’s future.
  9. We aspire to create ourselves through our work, and reclaim work as the deepest expression of our creative selves.

Changing the culture of work is not a task for one person. It takes a team to get things moving and then it takes a lot of teams to get it accomplished.

That's why we ask that you form or join a TGIM Team at your workplace.
